Mauricio Mesa, Managing Director of Cordia Spain is introducing us Cordia and its first project in Spain.
Tell us about the company – how did you decide to invest in Spain and especially on the Costa del Sol?
As a leading real estate company, Cordia has been known for its financial strength, innovative approach and commitment to excellence in project development. The decision to land in Spain is based on a combination of strategic factors and market opportunities. Spain, with its exceptional quality of life and constantly evolving real estate market, offers an environment conducive to the development of innovative projects.
The return on investment in new housing offers a significant return, due to the growing infrastructure and transport links both nationally and internationally.
Your first residential project in Fuengirola is about to be delivered. Tell us more about Jade Tower?
Jade Tower is in the nerve centre of the town of Fuengirola and a stone’s throw from the beach, in an area with a shortage of new developments. Jade Tower is a residential complex of contemporary architecture consisting of 116 apartments of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. The Jade Tower concept has been created to offer all the facilities required for quality demand – modern facilities, spacious terraces, and excellent communal areas such as gym, gastro-bar, coworking, cinema, spa with sauna, indoor and outdoor pools for children and adults. Strong early demand, with 85% of units sold prior to handover, indicates that clients value the quality and location of the project.
Jade Tower will be BREEAM certified for sustainable construction. Is sustainability in construction a growing demand among the consumers?
Our aim is to exceed our clients’ expectations, carrying out each step of the project together with a great team of professionals and with attention to detail. In line with this philosophy, our commitment is to build with the necessary qualities to improve people’s quality of life. Jade Tower has already been pre-assessed with a Very Good rating from the BREEAM certification, for a more sustainable construction in the design, execution, and maintenance phases. This certification underscores the growing demand for sustainability in construction. Our commitment to environmental excellence and quality at all stages of the project reflects our focus on social responsibility and care for the environment.
With the planned delivery of Jade Tower this spring, what’s next for the Cordia team?
Cordia continues its growth trajectory with the upcoming launch of two residential projects on the Costa del Sol. We are pleased to share that we have acquired plots to develop around 800 units over the next few years, positioning us as a major player in the area.
This year we are launching a new project of 80 luxury homes in Mijas, along with another residential project in Marbella.
With meticulous attention to detail and a focus on innovation, we are confident that these projects will contribute positively to Cordia’s growth and reputation in the Spanish property market.
