More than two months ahead of schedule, Cordia, a member of Futureal Group, one of the largest development and investment groups in the European region, has completed the structure of Jade Tower, located in the town of Fuengirola. This is the first luxury real estate project of Cordia in Spain, which has commissioned the construction of the building to one of the leading companies in the sector, the Spanish Sacyr.
On the occasion of this milestone Tibor Földi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cordia International, has declared in a ceremony at the foot of the building that “Cordia International has become a leading residential developer and investor in Europe, with numerous projects in Hungary, Poland, United Kingdom and Romania. Jade Tower is our first development in Spain, and I am pleased to announce that we will soon be launching our next project here”. The next residential development will be situated in a superb location in Marbella, and will offer excellent views of its surroundings. Above all, we are committed to further strengthening our presence on the Costa del Sol.
The Jade Tower structure was completed ahead of schedule thanks to the excellent management team of the Cordia-Sacyr tandem. The team effectively mitigated the impact of both material price volatility driven by high inflation and material shortages caused by the supply chain crisis in the first half of last year.
Réka Vidáts, Consul of the Malaga Office of the Hungarian Embassy in Spain, said: “I am delighted to see the success of a project developed by a leading Hungarian real estate developer and to witness Cordia’s growth in Spain. I wish the company all the best.
Mauricio Mesa, Cordia’s Country Manager for Spain and Romania, emphasised that “our strong partnership with Sacyr ensured the flawless execution of Jade Tower. In addition to delivering the construction works of Jade Tower, Sacyr has also been our main strategic partner, with whom we have collaborated effectively throughout the process”.
Mariano Pelaez, Regional Director of Sacyr in Andalucia, said: “We would like to thank the employees, the team and Cordia for their excellent work, which has allowed us to reach this important milestone more than two months ahead of schedule. We are proud that Cordia has given Sacyr this opportunity to participate in the development of one of the most iconic, sustainable and luxurious projects on the Costa del Sol.
One of the hallmarks of Jade Tower is that it is aligned with Cordia’s global sustainability and energy efficiency standards, as construction is being carried out under the internal BREEAM seal, the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for the real estate sector in general. The development has recently received a preliminary certificate of “very good”. This certification guarantees, among other things, that energy consumption will be reduced by up to 70% and water consumption by up to 40%, while using innovative solutions that minimise environmental impact.
“Once construction began on Jade Tower, a unique development in the Fuengirola property market, we have not stopped observing the changes in customer demand. People are always looking for more sustainable and energy efficient homes,” said Mesa. “We have also incorporated elements that benefit the physical and emotional well-being of our residents, such as a gym, sauna, spa and a private cinema room”.
“The development also has a co-working area where residents can telecommute and even hold face-to-face meetings with clients. The inclusion of these amenities at Jade Tower, which are normally only found in super-luxury hotels, is what sets us apart from the competition and adds value to the properties,” added Mesa.
