Is it safe to invest in the real estate sector? Where is it best to do so?
These are some of the questions being asked by those who, for months now, have been analyzing the possibility of purchasing a property—whether as a primary or secondary residence.

In this context, it is essential to understand the perspective of industry experts. One of them is Mauricio Mesa, CEO of Cordia Spain and Romania, a developer that has been expanding its presence in the province of Málaga in recent years.

According to Mesa, the Costa del Sol “is currently the safest bet for investment.” This statement is backed by the growing number of real estate transactions and by the clear commitment of numerous developers to this region.

“With a privileged climate, modern infrastructure, and a strong international profile, the Costa del Sol has established itself as one of the most attractive and secure destinations for foreign investment,” he explains.

Despite global economic fluctuations, “Andalusia continues to maintain steady demand in the real estate sector, particularly among buyers from Northern and Central Europe and the Middle East, who value legal stability, quality of life, and long-term profitability.”

Mesa also points to a “growing interest in sectors such as premium tourism, technology, and sustainability,” which further strengthen the Costa del Sol’s position as a strategic hub in southern Europe.

To support his analysis, the Cordia CEO cites the success of the company’s first residential project in Málaga — Jade Tower in Fuengirola — which has sold over 93% of its units.

The development, he notes, has been “highly recognized internationally, receiving multiple awards and acknowledgments.” Mesa affirms that “Cordia will continue to invest in the Costa del Sol.”

A Commitment to the Future

Cordia’s commitment continues to grow, as demonstrated by the acquisition of strategically located plots that will allow the development of around 800 residential units in Spain over the coming years.

“As for the Costa del Sol, we are proud to announce that we will soon launch our new project, 360 by Cordia, located in the magnificent enclave of Cerrado del Águila in Mijas,” Mesa reveals.

This new development will feature 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom homes, all offering spectacular views of the sea and mountains, in an exceptional natural setting designed for those seeking an elevated quality of life.

The residential offering will be complemented by a wide range of resort-style amenities and services, creating a space that goes far beyond a place to live.

Mesa adds that another project in Marbella is also in the pipeline: “This growth will position us among the leading real estate developers on the Costa del Sol,” he concludes.
